Cafe Mojo
Visit Cafe Mojo in Gawler and you may be lucky enough to bump into the stars of McLeod's Daughters.
Known as the best cafe in town, Cafe Mojo attracts people from all over town, even the film crew based at the Kingsford property where McLeod's Daughters is filmed, just outside of town.
Specialising in light home-made meals with a modern twist, the menu caters to a wide variety of tastes.
Sit down to a Café Mojo steak topped with tomato, onion, capsicum, black olives, mushroom, garlic and chilli for $15.80, or try the warm chicken salad with a combination of lettuce, semi-dried tomatoes, roasted capsicum, cucumber, olives and balsamic vinaigrette for $11.50.
"It's all home-style cooking, we do our own quiches, cakes and pates, we use meats from the local butcher and even chilli from my mother's garden," owner Therese Aguis said.
Choose either a bagel, baguette, ciabatta, focaccia or Turkish bread and team it with one of the many favourite fillings: roast chicken, cream cheese, avocado and sweet chilli sauce; turkey, avocado, camembert and cranberry sauce; mozzarella, semi-dried tomato, black olives, roasted capsicum and pesto; or shaved beef, onion, mushroom, roasted capsicum and mozzarella.
Cafe Mojo is fully licensed and there is an extensive drinks menu offering all types of beers, spirits, liquers and a small selection of wine.
The cafe is even said to make the best coffee in town. Choose from a flat coffee, cappuccino, latte, mochaccino, espresso, macchiato or Vienna coffee. They also serve hot chocolate and a range of teas including English breakfast, earl grey, lipton and herbal.
Breakfast is served from 8am to 11am and other meals are served all day between 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 2.30pm Saturdays.
For friendly service in a casual but cool atmosphere you can't look past Cafe Mojo, located just off Gawler's main street. Dine indoors or alfresco.
Cafe Mojo is pleased to offer catering for functions and lunchtime delivery for phone-in orders before 11.30am.
